Whiteway has a number of events during the year, including

Whiteway, named for Newfoundland Prime Minister, Sir William Whiteway, is another very pretty town in Trinity Bay.
The 9-hole Pitcher's Pond Golf Course opened in the summer of 2005. The course overlooks the ocean in Whiteway, and it "has gently rolling terrain, mature stands of trees, stream channels and wetland areas that provide the opportunity to create an outstanding golf experience."

Brown's Restaurant, which overlooks Shag Rock, provides a varied menu which includes traditional Newfoundland seafood. (Be sure to arrive early because they are very busy in the summer months!)
The town also has two sets of cottages, Blazing Horizons Cottages and Ocean Delight Cottages.

Shag
Rock is a famous landmark. The large triple-horned rock, jutting
sharply out of the water near shore, is called the "Shipwrecker"; and is a reminder of the dangers of the sea.
