The name of the Tourism Association has officially been changed to Northern Avalon Tourism Association. The email addresses have been changed to fit the name change.

The 2008 Edition of the Northern Avalon Guide Book, Map and Schedule of Events is currently at the printer and should be delivered within the next two weeks.

The summer of 2008 should be one of the most active the region has seen in years. We have added the Online Summer Schedule of Events. Towns and organizations are planning events much earlier. so we were able to list a majority in our Summer Guide.

Summer 2008 will be "Come Home Year" for the towns of Holyrood, Harbour Main- Lakeview - Chapels Cove, Avondale, Conception Harbour, Colliers, Marysvale, Georgetown, and Brigus.
Check our list of Festivals and Events and the Come Home Year 2008 Website for updates and further information.

The Town of Bay Roberts invites you and your friends to join with then as they “Celebrate Outport Culture” at Pigeon Inlet "Times" during the summer of 2008. The celebrations begin on June 27th at the Visitors’ Pavilion in the late afternoon and end with a Gala event at Ascension Collegiate, that evening, featuring Kelly Russell (Ted’s son) and other local entertainers. The 2008 summer production of A ‘Time’ in Pigeon Inlet commences on July 16, continuing on August 2, 9, 16 and 23, at the SUF Hall on Patterson Street. The ‘Time’, featuring Kelly Russell, will include enactments of Ted Russell’s works, storytelling, participatory songs and dance as well as traditional Newfoundland food.
